Developing solution models
The focus of our work lies in the development of practicable solution models for the coexistence of humans and wild animals, which can either be implemented by ourselves on site or are available to other organizations as an approach for their own work. Solutions, as we understand them, have a holistic approach and should be of benefit to wildlife, people and the entire ecosystem. Over the years of research and field work, a number of criteria have emerged as goals: - Protection or renaturation of the entire ecosystem - Focus on particularly important key species (keystone species) of the fauna - The project must be of benefit to the local population and involve them directly - The project promotes the population's own solution approaches and supports their own nature conservation measures - Use of particularly important plants in the renaturation process, such as bamboo, moringa, sugar palm, ... - Use of various sustainable technologies to improve people's situation - Solar cookers, solar bottle lamps - Energy efficient ovens, smoke free cooking - Treatment of clean drinking water - Medical supplies - Education, environmental education - Economic independence through the production and marketing of products relevant to the world market - Transferability of the model to other regions and countries should be possible - Supporters in the global north via marketing of products and as sponsors - the project should be part of regional and global networks.
